HISTORY
1918
Tatung co. was established by the founder of S.C.Lin.
　
1963
Heavy electric apparatus plant was set up and started to the , production of distribution transformers.
　
1964
Completed the country-first 69kV 12.5MVA power transformers to Taiwan Power Co.
　
1967
Started to produce a variety of switch gears and power capacitors.
　
1973
Exported the entire equipment of 67kV 10MVA power station to National Power Corporation of Philippines.
　
1975
Completed a whole power supply system for the tinplate plant and cold-work plant of Taiwan Machinery Co..
　
1977
Completed a furnace slag-treatment equipment for China Steel Co..
　
1978
Identified as A class plant by R.O.C. government. Provided technical assistance to P.T. Bambang Djaja of Indonesia.
　
1979
Moved the plant from Taipei to the current location at Tayuan Hsiang, Taoyuan Hsien and expanded its production line to meet the needs of market.
　
1980
Succeeded in the development of 161kV 60MVA power transformer.
Supplied Taiwan Power Co. with the entire power plant and substation at offshore island for providing power electricity.
　
1981
Completed 161kV power substation and whole power system to the stainless plant of Tang Eng Iron Co..
Succeeded in the development of 161kV 200MVA power transformer for Taiwan Power Co..
　
1983
Completed the Ching Liu small hydropower plant and substation for Taiwan Power Co..
　
1984
Succeeded in the development of  the country-first 345kV 500MVA extra-high voltage power transformer for Taiwan Power Co..
　
1986
Succeeded in the development of 13.8kV 600A 12kA VCB, Gapless Lightning Arrester and 13.8KV Metal-clad Switchgears for the localization program of Taiwan Power Co..
　
1987
Succeeded in the development of 23kV 600A 12kA VCB.
　
1988
Succeeded in the development of 23kV Metal-clad Switchgears, Motor Control Center for thermal power plant.
Completed a 22kV 42MVA OLTC type furnace transformer for 50 ton arc furnace use for Chien Shun Steel Co.
　
1989
Produced 3∮161kV 100/125/150MVA power transformers for Formosa Plastic Corporation and Formosa Chemicals & Fiber Corporation.
　
1990
Produced 3∮161KV 170MVA power transformer for TUNGHSIAO thermal-plant of Taiwan Power Co. and 3∮161KV 134MVA power transformers for NEW TIENLUN hydropower plant of Taiwan Power Co..

  1. Invested in new manufacturing machinery to the developing and producing Amorphous Metal Transformers and Mold Cast-Resin Transformer having the advantage of saving energy and safety.
  2. Completed 3∮345kV 36.6MVA station-service transformer for the Ming Tang project of Taiwan Power Co.
  3. Completed 3∮22kV/69V 45MVA OLTC type furnace transformer for Kang Sang Steel Co..

Succeeded in the development of 3∮2500kVA mold cast-resin dry type Transformer with high safety and reliability.

  1. Succeeded in the development of 3∮25MVA 50dB low noise level power transformer.
  2. Started to manufacture 3∮25MVA SF6 Gas Insulated Power Transformers.
  3. Succeeded in the development of 36kV Metal-Clad Switchgears.

  1. Succeeded in the development of 23kV SF6 Cubic Gas Insulated Switchgears.
  2. Succeeded in the development of 3∮166kV 386MVA and 242MVA combined cycle generation transformers for EVER POWER IPP Co. Ltd.. 
  3. The Amorphous Metal Transformers were commercialized and mass produced.

The Polymer-Housed Surge Arrester was passed the type test by Taiwan Power Co..
　
2000
  1. Succeeded in the development of the 345kV 500MVA extra-high voltage power transformer, which is special three-phase with three tanks, for Taiwan Power Co..
  2. Succeeded in the development of 161kV 50kA SF6 Gas Insulated Switchgears.
　
2001
  1. Succeeded in the development of  3∮33kV 40MVA radial core shunt reactor.
