To bring consumers closer to the enjoyment of digital era, Tatung gears to light up the gates for home entertainment while also caters for people on the go. Apart from the presence in the exhibition, Tatung will also participate in a joint press conference in Room 17, Convention Center, Hannover Messe at 3pm, 19 March, and New Product Launch in Room 13/14, Convention Center, Hannover Messe at 4pm, 21 March 2004 for Flat Panel Display.

Tatung is the first and only company in Taiwan that is able to produce both LCD TV and PDP from small to big in its full spectrum. --Media Center PC

As a member of Digital Home Working Group, Tatung manufactured the world’s first Media Center PC for ODM customers in 2002. Our Media Center PC runs on Microsoft® Windows® XP Media Center Edition and features built-in TV tuner, front I/O ports, card reader, personal video recorder, and remote controll. Its powerful capability to manage diverse content sources from Internet, TV, Radio, digital photographs, and digital video makes Tatung’s Media Center PC a perfect device for the control of entertainment and information.

--DVD Recorder

To replace analog VCR, Tatung offers the cost-effective DVD Recorder (DVR). DVR 1100 is featured with DVD player and DVD+R/W recording. It comes with 3 AV and 3 S-Video inputs to conveniently connect to existing DVD Player or VCR for program backup. DVR 1100 is equipped with parental control which easily filters and secures contents that are not suitable for children. With the programmable timer and quality level selection, you may record your favorite programs up to 6 hours. DVR 1100 has outstanding audio features including Dolby® Digital (AC3), DTS® out, and MP3 playback.

--Photo Jukebox

The elio PJ is the world’s first hard disk based personal media player featuring 2.2” color screen with MP3, JPEG and Windows® Media Audio playback capability. Also, it fully supports PC host applications and digital rights management (DRM) to enable end-to-end integration compatibility. elio PJ offers much more than existing hard-drive and flash-memory portable players in the market. elio PJ is also more compact (73 * 113 * 18.5 mm) than traditional hard drive-based portable media devices, making it the leader in the pocket-able jukebox category. In addition, elio PJ stores up to 5,000 MP3 titles and 7,000 JPEG photos, as well as other popular audio formats such as WMA, AAC and WAV. --Portable Media Storage

Portable Media Storage (PMS) is a chic device for people on the go to manage digital media, music, photos, and video. For digital camera users, IT professionals, and travelers, PMS is a portable CD burner with a rechargeable battery lasting for 3 hours. Without PC, PMS can connect to TV/Projector as a DVD player/photo browser, and as a MP3 player. With the built-in multi-typed flash card reader, PMS can backup data easily from storage cards to CD by one-touch-copy hotkey. For digital photos especially, PMS provides viewing, rotating, slide showing, zooming, and thumbnail display mode.

To ensure that business markets have a viable backbone to support diversified computing needs, Tatung blade servers deliver the most manageable, high-performance, low power consumption, ultra dense platform for data center applications. Tatung’s 3U blade server was awarded Winner of Best System Integration Solution of Product Excellence Award in Linux World 2003. The prestigious praise encourages Tatung to develop own brand server in a full line plan from 1U single CPU to 4U quad CPUs. Our 3U blade server, TUD-3114, for example, integrates 14 server blades in a 3U chassis, delivering 196 servers with Intel Xeon CPU in a standard 42U height rack, four times more than what is currently achievable with the “thinnest” 1U servers today. Effective density is even higher since TUD-3114 also integrates dual Smart Gigabit Ethernet switches and dual Management blades (called M-Directors), each of which would normally consume an additional 1U of rack space.
